I harvested a bunch of stinging nettles today from the garden. If you get them before they start flowering {usually April to early June in my region}, stinging nettles are great added to cooked dishes such as pasta and can be used as a replacement for leeks in an Irish soup called brotchán foltchep. Since my nettles were flowering, I will dry them and will be saved to make nourishing teas.
